This was the event where everything went wrong: I was locked out from the chalet where I was supposed to sleep, I never found my backup bed in the old castle, no pubs were open after a long walk to Venlo, I missed the main run, I had to cut short the hangover run and I missed the flight back home because 6 hours was not enough to get to the airport (The Netherlands is a large country, it seems) and I was late for work the following Monday.
