For run #1276 the hare had promised 18°C, blue sky, no rain and 2 m/s wind from west-northwest, excellent running and two non-pooch friendly drink-stops. 18 hashers including a virgin, turned up to check the validity of the promises.

The temperature was 14°C, with rather foggy conditions and dampness in the air. Two hashers were carrying injuries (cracked ribs) and the hare was under strict orders from his dentist not under any circumstances to do any running. The only promise to be fulfilled was the possibility of two drink-stops.

A rather sombre pack set off into the foggy evening (there is a pun in there somewhere) in search of the trail. We headed in the general direction of Møhlenpris and some virgin territory crossing the new pedestrian bridge across Puddefjorden. From there the trail took us to one of the newish pubs on Danmarksplass. Deep Throat and Foggy Glasses shocked the pack by drinking water, both being on non-alcoholic diets after a long and boozy summer holiday traveling around Europe in a car.

Shortly after the drink-stop, there was a split and the runners took the long trail around Store Lungegårdsvann whilst the walkers followed the main road for the rather shorter trail. The trail through the city centre was a meandering affair, before we hit the second drink stop at Gjestehuset. Again, Deep Throat and Foggy Glasses did the "we are drinking water" routine to everyone's horror.

Due to the lateness of the hour, all hashers opted for the short-cut back to the ON-INN and circle. The normal misdemeanours, including tea bags for new shoes enjoyed by Kangooclit and Comes Every Time, celebration of the virgin and a very forgetful Foggy Glasses, who was reunited with some ready mixed gin and tonic from run #1275, were all celebrated in the circle. The evening was rounded off with some excellent nosh at Casa Bubbles.
