An excellent English breakfast revived the pack and after a few beers, ON-OUT was called and the pack headed for the bus that would take us to the start of the 2017 Killer Hill run on the road between Midtun and Indre Arna.

The sun was blazing and quite a few Hashers had the explicit pleasure of sunblock being applied to exposed parts of their bodies by Harriettes. With everyone thus properly prepared, the hares called ON-ON to start the 2017 Killer Hill run. The pack headed UP-UP, first on a dirt road and then on meandering paths up the mountainside until the highest point of the trail was reached at 674.4 m.a.s.l at Hauggjelsvarden. Everyone had been issued with a two-can beer ration, and the first can was enjoyed whilst basking in sunshine at Hauggjelsvarden.

After a short while, ON-ON was called and the pack was back on the trail that continued in the direction of the main trail across Vidden. From there the pack joined this trail all the way to the summit of Ulriken at 643 m.a.s.l. The remainder of the beer ration together with packed lunches were consumed on Ulriken with Bergen and the Fjords as a stunning backdrop.

The pack set off towards the upper Ulriken cable car station, on what some hoped would be the last leg. However, because of the wonderful weather and five cruise ships in town, there was a two-hour wait to get down the mountain by cable car. So most of the pack set off down the steep descent down Lægdebotn and finally ON-ON to the lower cable car station and the waiting bus.

With everyone safely back at the venue, the circle was held. In addition to the 'normal' misdemeanours, two huge blocks of ice magically appeared in the circle, an opportunity the R.A. did not miss and a few Hashers ended up with frozen butts in the warm spring afternoon!

After the circle, an unending supply of gin-and-tonics and beer kept the pack happy until dinner and the 'Tarts and vicars' party.
