On a sunny evening, a largish pack, including two visitors from Burlington in the US, made it to the start of run #1252. The hare has a reputation as a runner and promised that by the time the pack was thirsty, we should have made it to the first drink stop.

A meandering route took us from the hare's abode to the railway station and ON-ON up Forskjønnelsen to Fjellveien, past Starefossen and up the steep path to Søre Kamvei, where we were treated to a good view of Bergen. The trail took us even further ON-UP the mountain to the funicular station (and pub/restaurant) on Fløyen at 320 m.a.s.l., where we had an excellent view of the sun setting over Bergen and the surounding fjords.

Due to a healthy thirst, most of the pack expected a drink stop at the pub, but because it was closed (!!!), we continued along the roads to Tippetue, where we descended DOWN-DOWN to Fjellveien. To cut a long story short, the trail meandered its way all the way down to the first drink stop at 'Minibar' in Kong Oscars gate. After an all too short drink stop, we were sent on our way again to the second and last drink stop in Nygårdsgaten.

A short stroll took us to the ON-INN and circle where all the various misdemeanors were dully punished. Beer and excellent nosh rounded off the evening. Some hashers claimed the trail had been at least 12 kilometres long, others 10.5 kilometres - at least the weather was good.
