A largish pack turned up in time for run #1294, the pre-lube to the BH3 Christmas run. During the chalk-talk the hare and stand-in hare, Wannabe Wet Finger (Bambi in drag), informed the pack that the trail had been laid using "Danish markings", whatever that meant. Options mentioned were either losing some of the pack during the run or not climbing higher than the highest natural point in Denmark: Møllehøj at 170.86 m (561 ft.).

It was therefore with some trepidation we set of into the winter's night. After a short while having followed very clear markings, a quarter of the pack disappeared and was nowhere to be seen. After what seemed like an eternity, they turned up at a holding check all smartly running behind a Harriette (there is a pun in there somewhere, see if you can spot it).

ON-UP was called and we climbed up the mountainside towards Fjellveien and the magic limit of 170.86 m. Again, about a third of the pack went missing whilst the remaining pack hit the highest point on the trail at approx. 120 metres. From there the trail followed a steep and narrow path back down to civilisation, i.e. pubs. Having tried to phone the blind and lost bastards without any success, the GM made a ruling that the main pack would wait maximum 25 seconds at holding-checks before continuing.

The packs reunited on the trail by Lille Lungegårdsvann on the way to the first (and last) drink-stop, where Wet Finger, a newly operated Harriette, and Muff Diver, her personal assistant, were waiting. After an all too short double drink-stop, ON-OUT was called and the pack followed the meandering trail to the ON-INN on Nordnes.

In addition to the normal misdemeanours in the circle, Wet Finger was gingerly held upside down for her 69th run with BH3. Well done!

After the circle, some excellent nosh was washed down with some excellent beer (and wine for some).
