Run #1345 - Sunday 24 September 2017
  • Destination: Slondalen
  • Hares: Mata Hari and Dog Handler
  • In the pack: Foggy Glasses, Deep Throat, Camp Toilet and Guinea Pig
  • Your scribe: Foggy Glasses

After a fortifying breakfast, the pack took off in a car for the start of the run from Mjølfjell Youth Hostel, a good 6 kilometres from Mjølfjell itself. The hares had been appointed last night rather than being the first to bed. ON-ON was called by the hares and the trail took us on to 'Rallarvegen' (the road built by navies when the Bergen-Oslo railway line was constructed many years ago) and used these days (mostly) by walkers and cyclists. After a short walk, the trail took us on to another road heading in the direction of Slondal and the beautiful lake Slondalsvannet.

The trail followed the path along the western side of the lake, past the 'village' Slondal and nearly as far as the farm Bruåni at the southern end of the lake for the drink-stop.

The return trail followed the same trail all the way back to Mjølfjell Youth Hostel and ON-INN to the car, and thus ended the longest BH3 hangover run ever at 7.3 kilometres. Back at Mjølfjell, all hashers were again punished for something in the circle. Following the circle, the cabin was cleaned and everyone headed back home after a wonderful event.
