Run #154 - Wednesday 30 June 1999
  • Destination: Olsvik
  • Hares: Three Times and Smokie
  • In the pack: Yogi, Abominator, Dr Butt, Backtracker, Foggy Glasses, Pizzaman, Dog Handler, Bubbles and Mata Hari
  • Your scribe: Backtracker

The real REAL hard core, this time represented by Foggy and yours truly, had their usual warm-up rounds at Trappen Pub. When these devoted hard core hashers arrived at the usual rendezvous at Nordnes Bubbles and Abominator had already arrived, and soon Dr. Butt also appeared. Beermaster Yogi, driving like a madman as usual, arrived with his newish car. We were of to Three Times' new apartment, and this was the only means of transportation available. Four hashers in the back seat of a such a small car is rather crowded. Bubbles apparently knew where we were going, so he was given the front seat and the task of guiding the driver. Of course Yogi made a wrong turn somewhere, so we got to see a lot of the countryside before we were once again back on track. We arrived at Three Times' somewhat late, Dog Handler and Mata Hari already there. Soon Pizzaman arrived, and on the RA's command the pack reluctantly formed a circle in the pouring rain. Smokie had forgotten the horn, so he was awarded the Hash Shit. On-on was called and run #154 was under way.

The run: A mixture of tarmac and muddy footpaths, constantly shifting between the two environments. A couple of heavy showers, pack soaking wet. Markings sometimes impossible to find due to the heavy rain. One slightly pissed off farmer as the pack, merrily shouting their ON-ONs as usual, came down a footpath that crossed his fields and gathered at a checkpoint practically on the p. o. f's doorstep.

Just as the pack was convinced that the ON-INN was imminent, the track took off into the forest. Something that seemed like a small mountain was conquered, and as we were descending, and this time it really was towards the ON-INN, another megashower ensured that we were all absolutely soaked.
