Run #1263 - Wednesday 1 June 2016 | |
A smallish pack, including a returnee, turned up for what the hare had marketed as a "Trudger-friendly run". At the appointed time and after a brief chalk talk, ON-OUT was called. In true Trudger style, the trail was a meandering affair with both a game stop, with Hashers balancing on a low high wire, and silly marking stops, where the pack had to guess what the abbreviations were before continuing. Many tight markings kept the pack together, and after a long run (somewhere between 3 and 4 kilometres including approx. 20 meters of virgin trail), we finally found the pub. Due to severe dehydration, the drink-stop was declared a double drink-stop. The trail back to the ON-INN was a short affair. In the circle, the usual misdemeanours were punished, with the hare doing his Toulouse-Lautrec impersonation by standing in a deep hole whilst enjoying his down-down. After the circle, some excellent nosh was on offer, washed down with beer. |
