Run #1232 was our 20th Christmas run. A large pack turned up at our regular pub in the City centre for a pre-run drink. At the appointed time, we set off on the run following an A-to-A trail, which first took us to Muséhagen on Nygårdshøyden where the sign 'XT' indicated a hidden Christmas tree. Having sourced the tree, it was duly decorated and carried by the pack through town to the Leprosy Muesum, St. George's Hospital in Marken for a mobile drink stop. After a short recitation delivered by Check Me Out about Armauer Hansen and his work in the 19th century, the pack set off in the direction of the second drink stop at Vaagen pub. Beer and live music was on offer, much appreciated by the pack. Because taxis were ordered to take us to the evening's venue, there was no chance of a double drink stop. Having been safely deposited at one of the hasher's abode, the circle including an upside-down-down for a hasher having completed 69 runs, was followed by a traditional English Christmas dinner comprising of turkey, roast potatoes, vegetables, two different types of homemade stuffing and a wonderful sauce. A homemade Christmas pudding was enjoyed by (some of the) pack before the revelries commenced and lasted well into the wee hours of Sunday morning.
