Run #1260 - Saturday 21 May 2016 | |
An excellent English breakfast revived (most of) the pack and after a few beers, ON-OUT was called and the pack headed for the bus that would take us to the start of the 2016 Killer Hill run in Eidsvåg. This was the same starting point as for the 2014 Killer Hill run. The trail followed the old Bergen-Trondheim postal road from Eidsvåg up to Langevannet. From there the trail followed the in parts very step path in the direction of Kvitebjørnen with a drink-stop thrown in for good measure. A good view of Bergen was the backdrop as the pack followed the trail to the lunch and drink-stop at Ankerhytten. That is to say Mata Hari, Dog Handler and Coming With Turtle (supported by a pooch) took a wrong turning and were heading for the 2014 Killer Hill Mountain before finding a path that brought them back on trail again. After the lunch stop, ON-ON was called and the pack was back on the trail that descended down to Storevannet at the top of Stoltzekleiven and after a short walk on partly hidden paths, ON-ON to the summit on Sandviksfjellet for a mobile refreshment stop at 417 m.a.s.l. After a relaxing drink stop, the trail took us down to Nedrediket before descending down Skredderdalen and along Fjellveien and ON-ON down to the ON-INN in Vetrlidsalmenningen. The pack boarded the bus where a head-count revealed that one Hariette was missing. Three Hashers stayed behind and contact was made, the Hariette having got lost and headed for the pub at the Red Dress run meeting point. With everyone safely back at the venue, the circle was held. In addition to 'normal' misdemeanours like tea-bags for new shoes and at least three butts-on-ice, Ayatollah from ONH3, was presented with spanking brand new personalised t-shirt, having completed 50 runs with BH3 yesterday on the pub crawl! Towards the end of the circle, Madam Sin organised a Hash wedding to celebrate Flasher and Groupie's wedding in August, the first BH3 wedding ceremony since Mata Hari and Dog Handler were celebrated on run #157 nearly 17 years ago! |
